RECORDING STUDIO DESIGN

RSS Studios is located in the Baiziwan area of the Chaoyang Cultural Center in Beijing, with a total floor area of approximately 500 square meters. The facility includes four control rooms, two recording rooms, as well as lounge and office areas. The site was originally a 250-square-meter brick-and-timber structure with a ceiling height of 9 meters.

The SKZW team conducted in-depth studies of every wall, floor slab, and structural column junction using a BIM model, and performed acoustic simulations to ensure optimal sound isolation.

Beyond acoustics, RSS also demanded a high degree of system flexibility and maintainability. To meet these needs, the SKZW design team implemented both AoIP-based audio networks and analog signal paths in each workspace. Multiple relay junction boxes were also installed along the corridors, allowing for easy cable replacement and maintenance at any time—maximizing system maintainability and scalability.
